A Concert Double Header!
Allaire Village, Inc. presents a concert double header with the beautiful harmonies of “Kate and Emily” and the acoustic folk rock sounds of the “David Janes Band”. Both groups are based in Philadelphia, playing the clubs in and around the city.
Kate and Emily make their third appearance to the concert stage of Allaire Village. Their folk music sound brings back music from the Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, Dan Fogelberg not to mention several original creations from Kate’s music and song writing. These two singers got their start in college and have continued their love of music and composition through today.
David Janes is a Philadelphia based singer and song writer. His songs have been influenced by and compared with a number of great artists such as: Over the Rhine, Neil Young, Ryan Adams and Jeff Buckley. David has been crafting clever melodies, lyrics, and progressions for years and is working to complete his first full album. Pulling heavily from life’s immediate experiences, David offers a variety of aggressive yet sturdy lyrics.
Now with a full four piece band behind him, David has joined forces to create a sound that is sensitive, yet confronting. Nate Gonzalez provides sweet, sweeping guitar melodies and tasteful keyboard and accordion interplay peppered sensibly throughout the music. Philip D’agostino lends that necessary low end and overall one of the best backbone vibes any band could ask for. Emily Shick supports each melody with beautifully smooth and spotless vocal harmonies along with valuable, bite-sized glockenspiel runs to complete the mix. Ricky Wise holds down this fort like no other with rock-solid beats and colored rhythms guaranteed to captivate a hungry audience. Combined, you have a band that is worth making every effort to come see and support. We dare you to listen. You won’t be disappointed!
Allaire Village Incorporated is licensed by the State of New Jersey to operate the 40-acre, Historic Village at Allaire, the site of James P Allaire’s Howell Iron Works Company in the 1830’s. Allaire Village Incorporated is able to present, throughout the year, many fine quality educational and interpretive programs. The programs are made possible by the support of private donations, membership fees, fund-raising events, admission fees, and patronage of our General Store and Bakery. The concert and cultural night series is supported by a grant from the Ocean First Foundation.
The Historic Village at Allaire is located in Allaire State Park on Route 524, 4265 Atlantic Avenue, in Farmingdale, Monmouth County, NJ, off Exit 98 of the Garden State Parkway and off Exit 31B of Interstate 195.
